BUILT FOR WBE:
THE INUVAI R180 KIT
(currently out of stock)

One of the most significant challenges of pathogen detection in different environmental waters is their low concentration. That’s why the inuvai R180 Recovery Kit was built to enable the collection of a reduced final volume of concentrate from a large volume sample – created to support the fight against SARS-CoV-2 and other threats to public health.

  • Processing of large volume (1-2 litre) raw wastewater samples.
  • Flexible for combination with subsequent steps already established in a lab, such as PEG precipitation.
  • Quick, easy and reliable process, using dedicated sterile accessories, conveniently packed into a kit.
  • Easy transfer between different labs.
  • High recovery allows detection of even small quantities/low concentration of virus.
  • Works for SARS-CoV-2 virus, but also for various other microorganisms (virus, bacteria, parasites), therefore making it a versatile tool also for future multi-pathogen or other environmental monitoring.

Simple and fast:
The inuvai R180 three-step approach

The inuvai R180 3-step-approach of priming the filter, loading the sample and sample recovery simplifies the filtration procedure to decrease the filtration time and to avoid injury of target organisms. Due to its ideal pore size, even the smallest pathogens will be retained in the filter and can be eluted and collected in a smaller volume by a backward and forward flush procedure.

Step 1: PRIMING

Step 2: FILTRATION

Step 3: ELUTION

The large inner lumen of the R180 filter hollow fiber

Cross section of the bigger inner lumen.

Avoiding clogging at low filtration rates.
The large 220 μm inner lumen diameter of the inuvai R180 hollow fiber creates more retentate space allowing a higher loading capacity for complex samples.

a smooth surface facilitating a high recovery of pathogens

(Left) Escherichia coli approx. 1 μm in length and (right) 100 nm polysulfone beads retained on the inner surface of a polysulfone hollow fiber.

Gentle and effective retention and collection of even the smallest pathogens.
The consistency of size, shape and regular distribution of the membrane pores (pores size 5.5 nm) create a smooth surface facilitating a high recovery during the elution step.

R180 is a complete kit to support an easy and efficient process of sample concentration

Each filter is supplied with a sterile connection kit.

Easy, flexible and reliable.
The convenience of the sterile connection kit will not only make the set up easier and quicker but will also support method validation and data validity, especially for low-concentration targets.
